How have your cooking skills improved since becoming a parent?

I've always been awesome in the kitchen, largely in part to the fact that my mother is italian and an amazing cook. My husband says I've never made a bad meal, which is a compliment considering he's also said his own mothers cooking SUCKs! (and it does...so ooo bland!)
