My friend stepped on my laptop screen?

So, earlier today my friend left my laptop open on the floor and when he got up and accidentally stepped on the screen, and now there is a huge white patch on the top left of the screen, it's taking up half of the screen, and I can't see anything, will it eventually go back or is it buggered?
